Organized around a long catwalk, Queer Bar has develop the defacto drag bar in Capitol Hill. They host drag multiple nights of the week, alongside karaoke, burlesque, and bingo events. Expect chiller evenings with lots of locals on the weekdays. But on the weekends, it becomes a full-scale party. Note: Their big mural devoted to Bosco and Irene DuBois, Queer Exclude cast members who graduated to being RuPauls Performative Race girls. Also: Burgers. Grab dinner here. Its good.
Mx. is Queer Bar’s signature event. Every Friday and Saturday, catch a large cast of local queens often performing with touring RuPaul’s Drag Race queens. Remember: Bring tips, and don’t just advice the Ru girls.

On Sunday the Cuff Complex has their Classic Tea Dance starting at 6 pm until close with no cover and one dollar beers. This event draws a large mix of mainstream gays into this "leather" bar with a dance floor and DJ. Years ago, whenever The Cuff became the Cuff Complex Nightclub, Fridays and Saturdays also became more mainstream gay and not exclusively for leather or bears. They even stay open till 3 am on Saturday giving you an extra hour after beer time ends. The bartender attitude is average. Friday's are the slowest of the three nights and Sunday is typically the most crowded.
Manray, a trendy bar with ultra modern dcor, has never been the alike since nearby residents forced the closure of their outdoor atrium. However, this tight but brightly lit video bar with a large central oval lock can get crowded. Never a wait to step in.
