LGBTQ+ Festivals & Events

Attending an LGBTQ+ festival or event is a great way to celebrate as a community even outside of pride season. Whether it's music, art, food, sports or dance as the theme, our voice and presence as an Queer community is stronger when we come together.

What Caring of LGBTQ+ Events Will I Find Here?

We compiled a global calendar of festivals and events around the world that hold an LGBTQ+ theme but are not specifically celebration events. Since pride events are so common and numerous, we've created a completely separate calendar including hundreds of events around the world—click here to view our Gay Event Calendar. The events on this list include a variety of festivals, gatherings or events with diverse themes ranging from tune, art, food, sports, move, advocacy, comedy and more. While each event may be different, the ordinary thread that binds all these together events is the celebration within the LGBTQ+ community.

How to Utilize This List

We have published this calendar to advise the LGBTQ+ community of important festivals and events globally to offer a complete source for planning your travel. This event calendar includes more than 1

Note: Traveling as an LGBTQ+ person always carries a certain degree of risk. It is our reality as we navigate a earth with 60+ countries criminalizing our relationships and a rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation around the world. We encourage our traveling society to understand the laws and cultural challenges they may face in any destination they choose to stop by for Pride and beyond. Don't be afraid of the world, but always research information specific to your travels. Enjoy Pride, be vigilant, and look out for each other!

The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past rare decades and much of the progress in representation is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that possess taken place in cities around the world.

The global landscape for LGBTQ+ rights, protections and acceptance varies tremendously by location, with some destinations attracting millions of visitors to their events like Madrid Homosexual Pride, Sao Paulo Queer Pride or San Francisco Gay Pride, while more than 70 other countries have laws that authorize discrimination or persecution of LGBTQ+ people.

About Paris and its gay life

Paris is certainly one of the top 3 travel destinations in Europe, and for the writer of these lines it is the most stunning one. Considering how many wonderful cities in Europe had been destroyed in the last war and didn't gain their former beauty and fame, yet, after 80 years, Paris is truly a treasure and miracle.

You could stay in Paris for months or check in Paris again and again, and you would still see other beautiful and interesting spots if you explore the city with curiosity and open eyes. Just stroll around a bit and do not only follow the routes in your travel mentor book.

If you come to Paris not only to visit the Louvre and other sights but wanna dive into the Parisian life, then try to avoid August. Many Parisians take their long vacations in August and some companies are even completely closed. In the gay scene even the most popular lgbtq+ clubs and bars won't be very crowded or will be empty or closed.

The lgbtq+ center of Paris is the Marais, an vintage district in the 4th arrondissement of Paris with adorable, narrow streets breathing centuries-old history. You'll fin
