Humboldt hideaway is a small intimate SHARED territory with residents. The outdoor kitchen, deck with a view, and campfire bell are all connected to the main resident residence. It is set on 12 acres of hilly terrain in the mixed fir and oak woods of Humboldt County, a half-hour east of Arcata. Back in 2001, when it was established, it was undeveloped with nothing on it. It has since been built up with the scrappy efforts of amateur creative dreamers. TRAILHEAD CAMPING

Trailhead camping is the original campsites on the East side of the campground by the main trailhead. Picnic tables, flame pits & a patch of grass turf are at each campsite. Potable water & pit toilet nearby with free solar showers, or for additional $5, instant hot fluid showers available by office.
JUNIPER FLATS CAMPING
$25 donation per person
Larger more secluded sites on the west side of campground with alternate trailhead nearby. Clothing optional camp areas with potable water spigots & flush toilets throughout. Free instant hot water showers.
We offer sauna, spa, & pool table access in our recreation tent for those camping in Juniper Flats on the weekends +Dance pole and wrestling mat!
