Anyone who has forgotten their vacation reading at abode should make a trip to the gay and lesbian bookstore Löwenherz. Here you can browse for hours among thousands of books. In addition to classic and international literature, there are picture books, magazines, and DVDs. The ChickLit bookstore in the first district offers a fine assortment of feminist and lesbian literature in both German and English.

Last May, I stayed at the Hotel Altstadt. Very nice boutique hotel and gay amiable. It was about 15 min walk to the gay area. The homosexual area is conveniently located near the huge accessible air market (Naschmarkt). There are quite a several gay bar choices for all ages and tastes. I always check to check out the scene when going to a major city in Europe. Hope you have a great time in Vienna. It is one of my top places that I've visited.

I'd definitely suggest the Cafe Berg (). Have been there several times and always enjoyed it. Good place for breakfast or brunch.
