Being gay, having been gay, gay experiences??? What the hell is that?
I thought he was just raped!
Griffith is not gay nor is he straight, sex has no meaning for him, Its a tool like everything else. He would probably have sex with water if it could bring him closer to his dream.Click to expand...
I agree with that. I think he is ambisexual. He uses people and whatever means that is, including sex. But he's good at it...apparently. Why would Gennon fall for him so quickly? What an idiot that guy was. And then he got sprint through...see the look on his face when Griffith said," Well, I don't have ANY emotions for you good or awful, you were a pebble in the path and a noisy one at that.." And then rams him with the sword.
Then there was the thing with Charlotte. While he might have reflection Charlotte was pretty ( he did notice her when she was peeking from behind the stone wall when he was talking to the King of Midland and Prince Yurius) he went to her that night because he was upset about Guts. And look where it got him...even without the disgusting King trying to rape Charlott
Here, you can clearly see the bara Guts' man boobs jiggle as he lands on the ground.
This is a rather groundbreaking discovery.
Now I question the heterosexuality of Berserk, and I must conclude that it is indeed quite male lover -- not that there's anything wrong with that.
But it doesn't conclude there:
I realized that the sheer gayness of Berserk was in front of me the entire time. There are actually quite a few homosexual characters in Berserk. Here, I'll name some: Donovan, Gennon the Tudor Noble, and of course, the fan favorite: Griffith! Berserk is actually quite a diverse series when it comes to queer sexuality. Even Guts might be bi, to be honest; that scene of him playing with a naked Griffith and tossing moisture on one another must have gotten Guts quite wet, if you realize what I mean.
Thoughts?
Remember to please keep it civil! We lov

do you think that berserk is homophobic?
yeah absolutely. ignoring every ounce of subtext, the only characters who demonstrate textual equal sex attraction are toddler predators and groups of heretics having hedonistic and like fuckin baby eating orgies before dying horribly.
As for the subtext, I like to interpret it in as positive a way as possible (ie Guts and Griffith’s partnership and lives are totally fucked up because they fail to recognize and act on the attraction between them, largely because of their past traumas), but as much as I think it fits the story perfectly and is the neatest and most resonant reading of Guts and Griffith’s affair , it’s still only subtext, and possibly accidental, so that doesn’t really mitigate any of the actual homophobia inherent to the story.
And then ofc you have the evil male lover subtext, yk like Femto staring at Guts during the Eclipse rape and the Beast of Darkness talking about Guts’ longing for Griffith and Guts assaulting Casca to undergo closer to him. Challenging to defend that lmao. I mean I can still read it as inoffensively as possible (the negative part comes when they redirect their feelings from

Hooo boy. Where to even begin?
- Guts and Griffith are the first to come to thought, as they have some seriously suggestive subtext going on, and fans can describe the whole story post-Golden Age as the aftermath of a particularly brutal breakup.
- Griffith's penchant for declaiming long, soulful speeches to Guts while completely naked for no real reason is probably a good place to start. Or just relies on the phrase, "Naked water fight."
- After they meet, Griffith mentions to Guts that he wants him to join his mercenary group because he thinks Guts fighting is "magnificent" and he thinks Guts is "fascinating" and says "I find you much to my liking." While this occurs the same music that plays when Guts and Casca made love starts playing.
- Not to mention how he frequently reminds Guts, "You are mine."
- The whole duel between him and Guts before Guts left has Griffith acting like he was organism rejected by his girlfriend, and reacting like a possessive Yandere about it. In fact, during Griffith's Ho Yay-tastic fight with Guts before Guts left the Band of the Hawk, Griffith is shown having thoughts of If I
